Description
Letterpress printed print of poem 'Hobby by the Sea' written by Doug Curtis (aka Trimmer). Doug served as a RNZAF airmen at Hobsonville airbase during the Second World War. Post the Second World many airmen who had served at Hobsonville held the 'Hobby Reunion' which inspired this poem. Print features an introduction written by Doug Curtis' son Alan Curtis, and was handset by his granddaughter Makyla Curtis.

Work handset by Makyla Curtis and printed on the Heidelberg Platen Press by Jim Swabey at the MOTAT print shop on MOTAT Print Live Day 2019. Second print of limited edition of one hundred and six prints.
