Description
Circular cardboard coaster. The front of the coaster has a cream-coloured background with a thin teal border, 4mm from the edge. In the centre is an illustration of a plane tail in teal and navy blue, featuring the Air New Zealand Koru logo in white. Underneath this is text which reads “air new zealand (teal)/ We are the Pacific” (navy blue). There is a separate design on the back of the coaster. There is an image of an aeroplane on the top half, coloured navy blue, white and teal, with “air new zealand” displayed on the side of the plane. Underneath this reads “THE BIG 10” in navy. On the bottom half of the coaster is the Air New Zealand koru and “air new zealand (teal)/ We are the Pacific” (navy blue).
The new Air New Zealand livery featuring the koru was introduced in 1973, and the DC-10 aeroplane was the first to display this livery.
