Includes meeting agendas, addresses, motions and questions, as well as reports, correspondence and newspaper clippings compiled by MacKay in relation to a proposed airport for Dunedin located at the South Endowment of the city. Correspondence is primarily between The Otago Expansion League (MacKay was President), the Otago Harbour Board and the Municipal Chambers which organised a series of meetings to discuss the topic of an Otago airport. Newsclippings collected show opinions around the intended airport. Correspondence shows tensions between land required for rail, air and shipping as modes of transport in New Zealand.
