“Columbia” record with plastic cover and cardboard sleeve, titled “Family Favourites”.
Part 1: Record. Side 1: The record has a cream coloured label with a silver edge. The text in black reads “COLUMBIA / 33 1/3 LONG PLAY / stereophonic / (YAX.346) / 1 / SCXM.3272 / FAMILY FAVOURITES / RUSS CONWAY With Accompaniment / Directed by GEOFF LOVE / 1. WITH A SONG IN MY HEART (Rodgers-Hart) Chappell / 2. MCNAMARA’S BAND (O’Connor) MCPS / 3. KEEP RIGHT ON TO THE END OF THE ROAD (Lauder-Dillon) Albert / 5. Part 2: Plastic sleeve, shaped to hold the vinyl record.
Part 3: Cardboard Sleeve. There is an image on the front which shows a family group crowded around a television. This is titled “Family Favourites” in blue italic script. At the bottom right is the recording artist’s name, “RUSS CONWAY”. On the top right of the sleeve is a small rectangular shape with rounded edges in black. Inside, the text reads, “COLUMBIA / LONG PLAYING 33 1/3 R.P.M. RECORD”. Underneath this is a circular gold sticker with red text which reads “STEREOPHONIC / EMI / RECORDING”. To the left is of the sticker is handwritten “B. C. WHITE” in felt pen, and to the right of the sticker is very small printed black text which reads “Photo: Flair”.
On the back of the sleeve is the title ‘FAMILY FAVOURITES’ / RUSS CONWAY / with accompaniment directed by / GEOFF LOVE”. Under this, there are two columns of text, which begin, “Here is the opportunity to present your own personal Request Programme […].” Underneath the second column is a square with text inside, titled “Songs to Sing in your Bath” […] and “Pack up your Troubles […]”. Below this on the left is a circle with the Columbia Records logo – it reads “Columbia Records / MAGIC NOTES / TRADE MARK”. To the right is text which reads “STEREO LONG PLAYING 33 1/3 R.P.M. RECORD / CAUTION – Records are the subject of Copyright. […] / His Master’s Voice (N.Z.) Ltd.” To the right of this text is a small rectangular box with text inside, “IMPORTANT / This record is not recommended for use with the pickups […]“. On the bottom left corner is “LITHOED IN NEW ZEALAND”. On the top right corner of the sleeve is “SCXM / 3272”. Below this is the track listing for the record, with nine tracks per side, “SIDE ONE / 1. WITH A SONG IN MY HEART […] SIDE TWO / 1. THIS IS MY LOVELY DAY […]”.
