Telecom Phone Card presentation booklet. The booklet is cardboard with a shiny finish. The booklet contains one PhoneCard. On the cover of the booklet are two Yellow-Eyed Penguins against a blue background. "THE YELLOW-EYED PENGUIN $50 PHONECARD" is printed in black on the top left corner. On the bottom right corner is the Telecom logo and "PhoneCard", underlined underneath. On back of the booklet, "'Telecom / NEW ZEALAND / PhoneCard / for further information [...] " is printed at the bottom against a white background.
One the first page of the booklet, there is information about Yellow-Eyed Penguins. On the left half of the first page is a close-up shot of a penguin. On the right half of the page is the printed text, "THE YELLOW-EYED PENGUIN / $50 PHONECARD / There are 16 different kinds of penguin [...]".
The second page of the booklet is white, with the Telecom logo and printed text, "PhoneCard" underlined in the top right corner. The card itself is held in the centre of this page. Underneath the card is the printed text, "$50 GST INC. PHONECARD".
The front of the card depicts two yellow-eyed penguins, with the Telecom logo positioned in the top left corner. The card is redeemable for $50. On the bottom right corner is a logo which reads, "ENDANGERED / ANIMALS / COLLECTOR / SERIES". On the reverse of the card is the barcode, "141E0143553" and below this is the text, "Yellow Eyed Penguins: From the Endangered Animals Collector Series / PhoneCards distributed by Pacific Coin Company Limited / Private Bag, Lower Hutt, New Zealand. Ph 04 569 4612". In the top right corner is the text, "B". On the bottom of the card is the text, "COLLECTORS ISSUE 1997 / Telecom PhoneCard (TM) Collector Service - 0800 508 805 / Telecom New Zealand / Services charged using this card are subject to the Telecom Contract / for Telecom Network Service available at our normal place of business".
