Description
Telecom Phone Card presentation booklet. A5 sized phone card booklet containing seven cards. Various dollar amounts. Dark blue cardboard with New Zealand Coat of Arms in the centre. "1997 / NEW ZEALAND / PASSPOT" printed on the front, text is of a silver appearance to mimic a New Zealand Passport. On back of booklet the text, "'Telecom / NEW ZEALAND / PhoneCard" is printed at the bottom. Two brass fasteners visible on right side. There are 10 pages of a cream colour.

On page 1 is an imitation of a New Zealand Passport identification page which reads ''NEW ZEALAND / PASSPORT / URUWHENUA [...]''. The page gives the identification details of Telecom's mascot, Spot the Dog.

Page 2 is headed with the text, "VISAS" and holds two removable phone cards. The two cards depict scenes from Rome as well as the Telecom logo and a picture of Spot the Dog. The top card is redeemable for $5, the bottom card is redeemable for $50. Positioned slightly to the right between these two cards is a printed stamp with the text, "ITALY / IMMIGRATION / 28 AUGUST 1997 / [...]". On the reverse of the top card is the barcode, "ADCB1746895" and below this is the printed text, "Spot smiles for the camera in front / of Italy's famous Trevi fountain. / Spot visits Riccione to represent Telecom New Zealand at the Europa Card Show, August 29-31, 1997." In the top right corner is a printed, "B". At the bottom of the reverse is the text, "COLLECTORS ISSUE 1997 / Telecom PhoneCard (TM) Collector Service - 0800 508 805 / Telecom New Zealand Limited / Services charged using this card are subject to the Telecom Contract / for Telecom Network service available at our normal place of business / http://www.telecom-phonecards.co.nz". On the reverse of the booklet is the Telecom logo and text, "PhoneCard" underlined.

The booklet is held within a dark blue cardboard envelope with a shiny finish. It has a New Zealand Coat of Arms in the centre. The text, "1997 / NEW ZEALAND / PASSPOT" is printed on front, text is silver in appearance to mimic a New Zealand Passport. On the back of the envelope is the Telecom logo and text, "PhoneCard" underlined.
