Description
PYE Model 6022 'Metrasonic' Hi-Fidelity Stereo [Tuner Amplifier] manufactured by PYE Manufacturing Division of Waihi, New Zealand.
Stereo consists of two speakers and stereo unit. Stereo Unit is a dark coloured wooden cabinet with panelling detailling on front and golden border detailing. 'Handle' on front centre which is not functional. Lid of cabinet opens to reveal stereo. Turntabe (Black and silver) located on inside proper right, while stereo controls are located on inside proper left. Control panel in silver/tan with four dials to control Volume/Balance/Treble/Bass and five buttons; radio frequency dial on far proper left. Labels on control panel "SOLIDSTATE METRASONIC / HI-FIDELITY". Power switch and headphone jack port also feature on control panel. Black maker's plate on back left of stereo with white writing "MODEL / 6022 / [...] / PYE MANUFACTURING DEVISION WAIHI.". White power cable attached.
Speaker are also of dark wood with golden accents fabric covering front of speaker is gold/yellow and brown diamond shaped design. Makers logo attached to top centre is black with silver "U". Green maker's sticker on the back with white text "SPEAKER SYSTEM / [...] / PYE MANUFACTURING DEVISION. WAIHI. / 371-285-01".
