Description

Includes three series of correspondence identified by compiler which are correspondence by Oscar Garden, correspondence by Rebecca Garden (Oscar's mother) regarding him obtaining work in aviation in New Zealand and correspondence to Mary Garden (Oscar's daughter) about her father. There are also loose letters and aviation material that relates to the career and life of Oscar Garden. Some of the letters relate to the health of Garden in his later years. Dates reflect time span covered by letters but it should be noted that some of these are photocopies in place of the originals. Noteworthy aviation material includes a TEAL menu, a pamphlet for the joy rides Garden offered in Tel-Aviv, imprest account and flight report for the delivery of Awarua ZK-AMC.
