Description
Black and white photograph on board. Close up image of Oscar Garden sitting in the cockpit of Kia Ora, his De Havilland DH60 Gipsy Moth. Written on back of photograph times the image in 1930 at the time of Oscar Garden England to New Zealand solo flight. Donor's father had this photo pinned to the wall of his TEAL office at Mechanics Bay and gave it to Captain Jim Kennedy when he resigned. Jim gave it to donor (Mary Garden) in 2006.
