Brief History
The Bedford SB3 typifies the fleet operated by New Zealand Railways Road Services during the 1960s. It would have been used on medium distance runs beyond Auckland. After being retired from the NZR Road Services, this bus was operated by the New Zealand Prison Service until 1984, and then as a school bus in Helensville until 2002. Its bodywork was made by New Zealand Motor Bodies and fitted onto a Bedford chassis.

I’m in the process or restoring my SB3 bus and like to know about finding the windscreen metal surround for the front windows. Is there a part no. or do they have to be specially made? Rust along the front has eaten most away. She is ‘60’s ex railways/Mt Cook. Also looking for the right side engine plate from handbrake to fire wall. Thanks
