Diagram of gradients for NZR rail lines, showing gradients between stations throughout New Zealand. Gradients are written using horizontal and vertical distance measurements. The book is annotated throughout with red pen and pencil corrections. Used by H G Stevens, NZR district engineer Wanganui until 1958.
