Research arranged by the compiler about the bombing mission Operation Frantic (originally called 'Frantic Joe') led by USAAF and VVS. Compiled for a book Mackersey was planning to write on the mission. Records include correspondence, interviews, and copies of and research around secondary and primary sources. Included in this material is a copy of the dissertation 'Operation Frantic and the search for American-Soviet military collaboration, 1941-1944' by Thomas Anthony Julian; five DVDs containing copies of archival material and an interview with Franklyn D. Holzman about his involvement in the war and time at the airbase in Poltava, Ukraine; and a copy of the documentary 'Shuttle Strike: Special mission airbase' by production company Wings of Russia Studio, directed by documentary filmmaker Konstantin Davidkin (2004)
