Description
"New Zealand Railways (NZR) ran a single road passenger route between 1907 and 1917. It re-entered the road passenger business in 1926. By the end of the 1930s it had become the country's largest bus and coach operator, and remained so until being broken up and privatised in the early 1990s. In the early 1980s, co-author Michael Jarka, began assembling material and photographs for an illustrated NZRRS fleet list. He later invited Sean Millar to join him as publisher, and subsequently as co-author, and the present book is an outcome of this collaboration." - Page 3.
