Description
Log book for Gipsy Six I engine in Percival Gull G-ADPR. Engine date of construction listed as September 1938. De Havilland acceptance and test certification stuck into log book (1943). Entries brought forward from RAF log to April 1945 when aircraft was received by Percival Airport Ltd at Luton. Entries from 1961 - 1990 when engine and aircraft endowed to the Shuttleworth Collection. Entry for aircraft and engine transfer to New Zealand (July 1990). Engine subsequently returned to England in April 1991. Last entry 2 October 1994 stating engine on display at "Old Warden."
Also includes loose maintenance and repair entries by Warden Aviation and Engineering Company and Hants and Sussex Aviation Ltd.
