Description

Survival vest worn by Derek Wright during Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958).
Light pink coloured string survival vest with diamond pattern, woven shoulder straps and side edges. White label with blue text "MESHKNIT "SHERPA" VEST / TRADEMARK / MADE IN ENGLAND" on one arm band, and name label "Derek Wright" sewn on same band at top of shoulder.
