Description
The Public Service Garage Social Club Cricket Shield - Joe Vunderink Memorial Shield.
Large vanished wooden shield with large metal chain on reverse to mount to wall. Central silver plated metal banner on top engraved with text "JOE VUNDERINK"; below banner is circular silver plated wreath, and below again is another silver plated banner engraved "MEMORIAL SHIELD".
Attached around top edges of shield are six small silver plated shields all are engraved with the winning team and the associated year:
1. "AUCKLAND / P.S.G. / 1970"
2. "AUCKLAND / P.S.G. / 1971"
3. "AUCKLAND / P.S.G. / 1972"
4. "AUCKLAND / P.S.G. / 1973"
5. "AUCKLAND / P.S.G. / 1974"
6. "WELLINGTON / P.S.G. / 1975"
