Description

Showing Jean Batten standing in front of the window display at Technical Books on Queen Street, Auckland for the republication of her book 'My life' renamed 'Alone in the sky'. The window display shows the framed picture from the First Day Cover celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Jean Batten's 1936 England - New Zealand flight, her framed medals, photographs of Batten, the flags of United Kingdom and New Zealand as well as model aircraft. Queen Street buildings are reflected in the shop window.
