Description
A poem on lined paper, possibly by a school-aged child:
'Miss Jean Batten is at St George Hotel,
She is in bed and not very well.
She flew from England to Australia.
And was successful after two failer's [failures].
There's a lesson to be learnt by this plucky girl
With her smiling face and dark brown curls
Noing [knowing] the dange'r [dangers] that were on the way,
She kept on trying and won the day.'
